These are the tools I typically use when making wire shapes.

Here are some tips when deciding what wire to use.
* 18 Gauge is my favorite, but it can be hard on the fingers. Try finding wire that is plastic coated. It bends like a dream and comes in lots of colors!
* 18 and 20 Gauge are best for words and most shapes. Anything higher is better for other embellishments or dainty words. Higher gauges make it harder to keep the shape because they are so flimsy.
* PRACTICE! You can't expect your words to come out looking like MM's...first of all...they cheat...the letters are soldered together, not one continuous piece. My words would look that good too if I soldered them together!
I've had about 10 years experince bending wire ( I made Retainers for kids after the braces come off!) so it's like second nature to me!
* Learn the basic shapes first. Learn the "o" and then squeeze one side to make it an "a". "n" becomes "m" if you add another hill to it. ect...

Please pm me if you have any questions, or are having trouble with a particular letter. I'll be happy to make an example of it and post a photo.
