I love this lo... especially since I'm originally from Nebraska, love the piano, and love the song "Mansion Over the Hilltop". I grew up with that song too. I hope you do get to pass your piano on -- what a wonderful history.

This piano holds nearly 100 years of family history. It's amazing how looking at it can flood my mind with memories. I remember sitting as a young girl, with Great-Grandma Florence Andrews learning notes and singing "Mansion Over the Hilltop" when it sat in her house in Mitchell, Nebraska. I remember Grandma Ruthie telling me it was to be mine while talking in the hospital in Grand Island after we learned her cancer was terminal. I remember moving it into my home from hers Memorial Day, 2004. And with all these memories, I hold the hope that someday a great-grandchild of mine will continue the story.
The photo is printed on cream cardstock to add to the antique feel.
