I grew up out in the country. The picture on the top left is of our swimming pool. Dad was quite innovative. With 5 kids to feed and clothe, there wasn't money for a professionally installed pool, so we dug a BIG hole and lined it with black plastic! It even had a filter. We were the only kids in the neighborhood with a pool. It was 5 1/2 feet deep at the deep end, about 12 feet across and and 18 feet long. Not bad for a homemade pool!
