A layout about something I love....my favorite store. Journaling says:
Oh, Target. My dear, sweet store which holds within the delicious treasures of retail consumerism. How I love thee, Target, oh Target mine. The times I get to spend with you - after taking the children to school and I have 2 hours to myself to just wander up & down your aisles filled with beautiful things. I so love spending time seeing the beautiful furniture - reminiscent of Pottery Barn without the hefty price tag, your selection of beautiful table linens, placemats & dishes, your clever coordinating bath coordinates, the myriad of gorgeous & cozy bedding sets, your funky & fashionable “Do Your Room” stuff for kids, the amazing & unusual Global Bazaar items that grab your attention. All of it - I love looking & dreaming & planning how I might redo my home if I had the money. In fact, I love it all so much that every time I get a receipt offering it, I rush home & take the online Target survey in the hopes of winning the $5000 gift card! How truly cool that would be to be able to fill cart after cart with wicked awesome Target gear. When our local Target turned into a SuperTarget, I was so excited. To be able to buy groceries & all my favorite tchotchkes in one place was, as Will Ferrell puts it, scrumtrelescent. I love to go, pick up a frappucino at the in-store Starbucks and pick up my favorite things. Archer Farms 6-pack of sugar cookies, a new set of towels, a fresh pretty rug, a cozy pair of pjs, fun trinkets in the stationery & home office section, something seasonal in the back section (Christmas, Global Bazaar, The Garden Spot), something precious for Henry in the baby section, a couple of paperbacks, a new DVD for myself or the kids, a new purse or tote bag. There’s inevitably something in every section of the store that I wish to add to my stash. It’s all lovely, nearly all my style, all reasonably priced. I’m yours, Target. Me & my limited budget.
Using the Reflections 2 page template #2 & paper from Fun in Flannel kit from Butternug Squash Designs. I also used a journaling prompt from the Scrapper's Creative Writing Assignment Basic 1 to get started on the journaling. Really helped me write!
