As my friend says we are our worst critic...It looks good Helen but I know what you mean about a layout that you want perfect and it just isn't working...I always put that layout on hold and try again later and remember do it for you and not some challenge!! That is why we scrap!!
Hugs,
Wendy
Oh, Helen, I love it. You should too. It's beautiful and so is that journaling. It is really amazing. You did such a good job with it. You should be proud. I think it will really mean a lot to Katie one day! It's a good picture too!
This LO had almost made me cry......It's not the LO itself but it contains too many things in it. To mention one, you tried to do something for a "challenge" with some restrictions and you are not so happy with it, does it make you sense??? The words you had to use are the most beautiful words in the world for me and the journaling, too heartwarming!!!! LOVE THIS LO!!!!
Helen, this is fabulous...love the colors, the tags, and the journaling...I love it and that is a great photo of you and katie...wonderful job on the challenge :)
I don't know WHY you don't like this??? I think its a great layout! That picture is fabulous. Katie (and you) will cherish each and every pic you have together as you both grow older, and that journaling.. WOW! You have the touch my friend, you HAVE the touch!
Well, I guess you're going to be out numbered here, my friend! This caught my eye right away....a truly lovely work!! The photo is precious and all that you've done with it is perfect. From the "lesson to be learned" to the embellishments, I very much love it!! What can I say? I can't agree with you all the time!!
You don't like this? I do not understand why!!! I think this is awesome, Helen!!! I love the picture, the pretty colors, and the title and journaling are exceptional!!!! Straight to my faves- l LOVE it!!!
I think this is beautiful Helen! Fabulous pic of you & Katie. Love the colours, the elements (especially the fibres ~they're fab!!), the 3 lessons on Faith, Hope & Love are beautiful......Great work!!
Okay ...here it is (my Lo for the DSG monthly challenge - to see good LOs go visit Bree or Christiane!)...but going to echo Helen Mazuntex's sentiments here and say I don't really like this LO. I had great intentions....the idea was to have a photo of me (part of challenge but had to include Katie as you would never get a photo just of me) and express to my daughter thoughts that were important to me and that I could pass onto her about "life's lesson's" - so to speak. I just loved the kit I downloaded from scrapbook-bytes.com - "Faith Kit" by Amanda Walters - especially as it included my favourite colours (another pre-req of challenge). But that is where it stops. It just did not come together at all for me. I could not get it to sit right. Oh well! The story behind me using these sentiments ie. "faith, hope and love" is that I used to teach this to adolescent girls and it's as if it were yesterday when I would stand in front of the class and have adolescent girls eyes turned to me and I would talk of life and bring in these three words and meanings. Like I said .... good intentions but just did not quite pull it off in the LO stakes.
Text reads: Faith - faith is seeing light with your heart when all you see is darkness Hope - hope is not only the light we carry within, it's often what carries us through Love - Love is like a violin. The music may stop now and then but the music remains forever.
