Online role playing computer games are not just for pimply-faced teenage boys; I grew up playing D & D (Dungeons and Dragons) the old fashioned way… with dice and a game board. Yeah, I was a geek I suppose… I was friends with the guys who played D & D, I was in Drama, worked at RenFest during the summer of my Senior year…. I even had burgundy hair and a boyfriend named Damian… That was 18 years ago…. Now I’m a college grad with a good job, conservative wardrobe and style, married and settled down… and a level 6 Warrior/Spiritualist in the online Factions realm of Guild Wars. My best friend Kimi got me into it, and I was hooked, then my hubby got hooked. My alter ego is by my own design… and full of attitude. Each adventure I take on is an escape from the everyday stress of life in general… a chance to release my inner fantasy of medieval warrior princess.
