I am working through my journal of my trip I took to Japan 33 years ago.
Journaling:
July 11th: We left Luken’s to go to Miyajama Island where we would stay in a Youth Hostel for the evening. We drove almost all day and when we arrived we thought we would have to sleep on the bus as it was so foggy and the ferry wouldn’t cross unless it lifted to take us to the Island. Thank goodness it lifted saving us from a bad nights sleep on the bus. We arrived at the youth hostel getting to sleep in bunk beds for the evening In the morning we had a real Japanese breakfast. UGH! I ate the eggs and rice but not the miso soup. Mr. Pratt went and bought us some milk & fruit later so we had a good breakfast after all. We went and saw the Torri out in the water which was beautiful but they were working on repairing. Then we looked through some other stores later catching the ferry back to the mainland.
