I LOVE the color combo here, and that picture and journaling are perfect!!!! I am a huge fan of Mexico, but have never been to Juarez. My dad is actually heading down there tomorrow to help build houses. I'm hoping he brings back lots of pictures!! Great layout- straight to my faves!!
The simpliciy of this design and the beautiful colours makes this design just sing! Beautiful! Love how you used the brads to give that bit more texture.
Wow, I love the medallions! It definitely give it a Mexico feel. Now if it was only a margarita on the rocks with salt on the rim :). <JJ>! He looks very relaxed!
One of my favorite photos of DH, taken in Juarez Mexico Mar 2000. Title is in gold ink and did not photo well. Journaling reads: A cantina, a Corona, a Cuban cigar--a contented Man. I made the medallions by stamping a foam stamp made from a QuicKutz die onto dark brown cdstk with aquamarine MM paint and metallic gold dauber paint and then cutting them out. I was trying for the verdigris color of old bronze. I wanted this layout to reflect a time when my Dh was very relaxed and life seemed very simple.
