I love the collage aspect. This looks great. I like the Hometown Hero as well. I have a page on my gallery of a quilt my daughter did for her friend. There's a quilt square that reads "Some heros wear cape, others wear combat boots." Those are the REAL heros. Awesome job on this.
I loaded this when it was laid out and not tacked down. This was the final version. I never wrote anything in the dog tag. Words failed me and I gave it to him like this. ******UPDATE****** It is eight years later, and as I look back on this lo, this is the one that started it all. I wanted a going away gift for this great pal. So I made what I called a "collage". When I gave it to him he said "wow I didn't know you were a scrap booker, so is my wife." I was like "no no no no noooo. I am NOT a scrap booker." Well, as it turned out I was. And it turned out I was not the only one scrap booking in my tiny living quarters in Mosul Iraq. I found a female Sergeant on here who was in Baghdad at the same time scrapping her experiences. Doing this is what kept me sane. Doing this at night made me forget the cramped working conditions, the heat, the dust, the unfairness of everything and the horrible people that sometimes came to work with us. At night I would lay on my bed and ink chipboard, or paint, or cut out tiny flowers and glitter and glue and staple and brad and gem etc.....I am so glad I did.
