Notice the cut on her forehead. This is my daughter the day after she was in a car accident with her beloved Gramps, as she calls him. She was sent over to drive him to the doctor but he convinced her he would drive there and she could drive home. He somehow managed to hit her parked car, totalled his car, imploding both of their airbags, aid units involved, police cars squealing, car taken away on a wrecker. All of this in the driveway! This was his 2nd accident in 10 days. Everyone was ok, but it was quite exciting to her as she was convinced it was all her fault for not standing up to him, which she would never do. Needless to say he has since given up his license. It was a difficult day but one that could have turned out so much worse. The funny thing is that he truly thinks it was his shoes and he made me take him out later that day to buy new shoes. I promised to buy him all the shoes he wanted but he's still not driving!
