I used the blue paper as a background. I tore a section of the green/blue patterned paper and put it on the left side. MY TECHNIQUE for tearing the paper is to take a Q-tip and run it under water and put it on the paper. Up & Down. I put tags in several places. The tags on the green patterned paper are matted with the same blue paper as the background. The picture is a mosaic. I cut the picture in 6 one inch section. I matted it with the dark brown paper and matted that with 2 other papers. One is lighter than the next to create CONTRAST. I create 3 clay pieces. I used green clay and after it was heated and cooled I brushed pearls powder on top. The 3 pieces say “M” and “I” and “Road trip” I pressed my stamp “Road Trip” into the clay before it’s heated. The M & I stand for Michigan. The journaling is inside the INTERACTIVE element. See the second picture to view what’s inside. I also added a couple tags inside that matted with the same blue paper. Matting elements with other colors used within the layout connect it all together.
