You could get a nut (smaller than a lug nut, of course!) and dab it in brown or black paint and use it like a rubber stamp (stamping ink probably wouldnt stick well to metal unless it's pigment ink). You could also get a small bike tire or Tonka truck/Matchbox car and use the tires to make tracks on the page in the same way. Find some clipart of lug wrenches, nuts, wheels, cars, etc. :)
Had to post this... Matt has never changed a tire and we got a flat a block from the house and hobbled the car home and he changed it in the driveway. I had to give him tips on how to use the jack and to loosen the bolts before jacking the car up. (if you dont the tires spin and it makes it harder)
