Journaling: Hidden journaling beneath the large photo on the left side of the layout reads: Ahh...ice cream. That cold, messy, yummy treat that you so rarely get to indulge in. We didn't allow you to have sweets of any kind until you were almost 2 years old. We figured that you didn't know what you were missing and it was healthier for you if you didn't. A month before your second birthday, daddy and I decided that it was time to take you for your 1st real ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. We ordered mommy's usual German Chocolate Cake creation and gave you your own spoon to dig in with. You couldn't shovel it in fast enough and the look of pure delight on your face was reward enough for holding out on you so long. Although you still don't get sweets very often, you definiely love your ice cream now. Even after trying other flavors, your favorite is still the original. Like mother, like son. March 2004
