Gathering around the campfire is the best way to end the day at the lake! Sharing stories of wild teenage days, or our more 'mature' adult lives, indulging in some cocktails, pigging out on fire cooked food, or playing in the fire.. ahhhh so relaxing!!! The night before these photos were taken, we were doing just that, Shayne, Nicki, Jeff, TIm, & I, sitting around a gorgeous campfire when Mother Nature decided it was our bedtime. In whooshed a thunderstorm that none of us saw coming. The next morning we were all SOAKED, notice all the laundry on the lines. After we ate a warm breakfast, dug out some dry clothes, they all hit the booat for the last day of the holiday weekend. Fighting a migraine, I chose to stay behind, recover in the quietness, get things dried & packed up.
