March 17th 2007 – Ali, Shaia, Dianna, Ant and I went to the St. Patrick’s Day
Parade in Manhattan. This was actually a first for all of us so we were very excited!
We tried to meet up at 9am but of course Shaia was late. Finally, forty minutes
later, we took the train to 49th street and walked up to 5th avenue. The parade
was from 44th to 86th street and 6 hours long!! We walked to 54th street
where we found the perfect spot to watch the parade. Everyone was dressed
in green along with waving their Ireland flags. However, I do think we were the
best dressed group of people there. From head to toe, we were dressed in
GREEN! From hats on our heads, stickers on our faces, necklaces around
our necks to green sneakers on our feet. We even had strangers come up
to us and ask for our picture. It was great!
