4000 Wishes

This sculture was created by John Newling and it is in Westonbirt Arboretum. Gloscestershire UK During the summer of 2003 all visitors were asked to write a wish on ribbon, these were then wrapped around a branch of a tree eventually forming a ball. The ball of ribbon was cut free from the branch and cast in bronze. So this is what 4000 wishes looks like!
