This is my first time creating an actual paper collage for a layout. I cut around some of the flowers on the Basic Grey paper to make things pop out and hide behind elements!

Journaling reads:
ad*dic*tion - n. The condition of being habitually or compulsively occupied with or involved with something.

I wouldn't call it an addiction, actually. It's more of a hobby; an expensive hobby, perhaps, but definitely more of a hobby than an addiction.

You see, I love to shop. Of course, with two growing children, they are constantly outgrowing their shoes, socks, pants etc...

But I don't just shop for them. I like to shop for myself too. Granted, I am an avid reader and love to peruse books. Barnes and Noble is one of the place my family hangs out for fun! So, I buy a lot of books. They don't go to waste, because I always read them and pass them on to friends and family to read, if they are good.

But, you see, I also love to buy clothes. I love the feeling of a new outfit at the beginning of a new season. I thrive on the transition of pastels from drab, dark colors in the spring! I love the deep, rich, jewel tones in autumn! Clothes don't last forever, you know! I go through my closet once a year and do a thorough spring cleaning. I give away things that I haven't worn to my sisters. Things in not-so-good condition go to charity. A girl loves to have new jewelry, new shoes, new accessories too.

Of course, we haven't even begun to talk about scrapbook supplies. Styles and trends change so often in the art community. There are always new supplies and techniques on the horizon. I don't want to be left out of the loop.

I try hard to be reasonable in my spending. I don't go overboard that often. I guess it's more of a habit, or maybe a compulsion...Maybe it's an obsession or a craving. Infatuation? A need for new things? Hey, as long as I'm working, I know it's not a problem. Or is it?
