Journaling reads: At the beginning of summer in 1972, Mama, Daddy and I moved to Griffin, Georgia from Summerville, South Carolina. I made friends with the daughter of the man who built our house. Her name was Rosemary Watts, but everyone called her Rosie. Toward the end of that summer, we went on vacation to stay a Bubba Lucas' cottage in Saluda, NC. Bubba was a friend of Daddy's from work. My Aunt Mary and Uncle Ellis also went with us. These pictures were made the day we went to Sliding Rock. I remember the water being sooooo cold! But, we still slid down several times. We also went to Looking Glass Falls and then on to tour a nearby fish hatchery. It was a great trip!
