This is a letter to my ds, Joshua a few weeks after his baby sister was born.

I found this a/l free bg paper at the dollar store in a package of coordinating colors!

Letter reads:
Dearest Joshua,
My darling middle child, You are the one I relate to most in many ways. You see, I am a middle child myself. As a child, I never enjoyed as much responsibility as my big brother, nor did I receive quite as much spoiling as my baby sister. I know I was loved deeply by my parents, but it was easy to feel lost in the shuffle at times. Now that I am mother to three beautiful children myself, I realize just how difficult it can be to juggle the responsibilities of running a household, while trying to give each precious child all the attention he and she deserves.
Oh Joshua, I love every darling part of you – just as I love Andrew and Ainsley. I do understand that sometimes you feel left out as we shuttle Andrew to so many acti-vities in between Ainsley’s diaper changes and feedings. Babies do take up a lot of time, don’t they! I know it is hard for you to understand why I cannot grant you as much freedom as your older brother just yet. Life is unfair at times, I’m afraid. Unfortunately, I will never be able to make sure all your lives are equal, but I promise you, I will always do my best to show you how much you are loved.
My dear son, I always want you to know, my life is so much happier, and the world is so much richer simply because you are here! Thank you for being my darling middle child. I love you forever!
