OMG, my preschool teacher heart is singing. I *love* The Kissing Hand too (right up there with The Giving Tree and Love You Forever). I also *love* the idea of a pocket with my children's fave stories in it. Wow, love it all--such a sweet idea & definitely a keepsake to treasure!
Oh another fantastic layout - love your choices again of color and those Prima flowers are gorgeous (they haven't hit the stores yet in our area)...what a sweet page to look at as time goes by.

It's wonderful Gabi. And so sweet that you put all those journaling strips in the pocket. Your work inspires me but I'm fully aware that I will never reach the artistic talent you bring to us. Thank you so much for sharing all your wonderful work with us.

The silver and purple are so pretty together and you did a great job of doodling around the scallops. What a perfect sentimental idea for your daughter and her transition at school. Can you reproduce this on a little card for her to keep in her backpack so she can keep it at school to remind her? Thanks for sharing this.

LOL....this is so eye catching!!! So funny that we were using the same flowers on the same day!! Great minds think alike!!LOL!! I love it Gabrielle...first to put it in my favs!!!
This is a page about my youngest dd's nervousness about going to Junior Kindergarten. The journaling reads:
: "A Pocket Full of Kisses and The kissing Hand. Two of your favourite stories, Meagan, about a little raccoon who was shy about her first day of school, so her mommy kisses her palm and tells her that whenever she feels homesick to press her palm to her cheek and remember ~ Mommy loves you~ and that is how you made it through your first day too. In this pocket are a bunch of your favourite stories...."
For this one I made a bunch of journaling strips with the titles and authors of all her favourite books on each strip, then topped each with a prima and tucked them into the pocket I sewed onto the page.
I just love those new blooms by Prima called Isabella's Secret (packaged in bras and panties teehee!), some have a lace design on them and some have french writing...as soon as I saw them I knew they were what I was looking for, for this page!
BTW...for you moms with little ones starting school, the author of those two books is Audry Penn, you'll love the stories, but may have to choke back some tears reading it :D
