Oh I just read the ideas & love the journal strip arrows one...putting them slightly off because a layout about a scrappy room needs a little askew somewhere. If you wanted a journal strip word for your own photo how about "guilty culprit"?
HAH, I love that you scrapped this and LOVE that you included a photo of yourself...gives it that "I'm ashamed but willing to have fun with so nah-nah" feel (IS that a feel?! ;-) Anyway, I'm personally blown away that you pulled this off with no adhesive because I didn't know where to start with that idea...from presents to scrap pages, I am an adhesive kinda woman: you've given me ideas to run with for ways to try & make other things work!
Aah, I finally found this elusive lo, and glad I did because it gave me more ideas for this challenge. Nice job for all that hard work. I like the photo corners, pp, and all the brads and eyelets. Funny subject, too. The first thing I thought, before I read everyone else's comments, was that the page definitely needed some white. I also like Tiff's idea of journaling strips. I suggest vellum ON some of the photos... to cover up some of that clutter (heh-heh). I can also see "For Shame!" written in white ink across your sleeve in that photo. One more thing, I wouldn't mind seeing another strip of fiber going across above reality.
This is a fabulous response to the challenge! I agree with Tiffany re: inking the pages in pink/mauve ink if you have it (but that's kinda coming from an ink-addict here). I believe everything else speaks for itself in this LO!
hee hee!!!! This LO is hilarious! Love it! Changes I would suggest? ... If you have any pink/mauve ink, I would ink the edges of the background paper. Then, you know what I want... I want some journaling. I'm seeing cut-out arrows with journaling on it. Something like, "Of course, I know where my vacation pictures are...they are right here" and have it pointing to what looks like random chaos. I could see them in the lighter colored pink. If not arrows, then just journaling strips. This is a great LO, Anne. As an added benefit, I see your little feet in the picture...peek-a-boo!
great LO, and nice way to attach everything. i can see you doing a couple different things with the outlined letters, maybe some of that cs from the mat behind one, paint, doodles.
Great job with putting all of these pieces together without using adhesives! Love the photo colors and I have to say, this made me laugh because i can relate to the chaos of my scrap area when scrapping. I would suggest trying to bring some white in. Maybe paint or white pencil in the "hollow" letters. Other than that, good job.
Annie your photo placement rocks as does the letters. Very very cools. Fabby fabby. I would bring in another color in there Annie to boost up the wow. But otherwise this is a great layout!
This is the "reality" of my craft room on any given day. It was put together with no adhesives anywhere. This has been the most time consuming 2 pg LO I have ever done, and one of the most expensive. I protrayed my shame with my picture of anyone seeing my room when I am working, I am sooo messy.
