This is a layout I did for a picture of my family at my Grandmother's 100th birthday party. I normally have more than one picture on a page, so I flipped through some old magazines trying to get an idea - the woven paper was inspired by a layout by Dana Smith in the October 2006 issue of Scrapbooks Etc. (Page 80). There are scraps of paper placed on the layout to conceal names and other private information.

This layout was done using materials provided by a Kit of the Month Club at a LSS. Loved the colors, but not the birthday hat stickers that came with the kit. The small green present in the middle of the wide orange ribbon has a layer of diamond glaze over it - a sample came with the package. I like the idea, but I couldn't get the bubbles out of the glaze.

The little slips of paper to the right of the photo are math equations like G - person in picture's name = the number of years difference in ages. I thought it was a neater way to show the different generations.

I was very excited about this layout and finished it less than 24 hours after getting the kit from my club meeting, but I'm not super happy with how it turned out. Something about the way the colors in the paper strips worked together once woven.
