I have just finished an 8x8 album for my DH's Mom. On my last trip to the States I bought the Simple Scrapbooks magazine with the interviews - I then interviewed the family and have only now ( just 9mths later ) finished
This is my page - I inked the background of the photo and used rubons and bindis
Journaling reads:
Q1. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A1. A vet and then a PE Teacher although it did cross my mind to be a make-up artist but I really wasn’t that girly!
Q2. How did you help out around the house?
A2. WE always had a HUGE list of jobs especially when my mother was working nights (as a nurse) – I think she thought it would keep us out of trouble.
Q3. What were you most afraid of?
A3. Rats! When we lived in Hong Kong one jumped out of a dustbin at me – they weren’t small and cute over there. Vampires – always slept with my curtains open so I could see them coming.
Q4. Who was your first crush?
A4. Gary Barrett when I was 10 – no idea why.
Q5. What Childhood story do family and friends still tease you about?
A5. When I went home on the wrong school bus in Hong Kong I went missing for several hours and had the entire island police and military force looking for me – I got in a lot of trouble that day!
Q6. Which family vacation was your favorite?
A6. We only had 2 holidays the one that stays in my mind is staying in Polzeath in Cornwall in a caravan and learning how to surf.
Q7. What did you do in the summer?
A7. Mum always had projects for us to do; we loved eye spy books and trips to the beach.
Q8. What did your childhood bedroom look like?
A8. Shared it with Wendy we had bunk beds I was top bunk girl! Then got my own room as a teenager it was very 80s red and white wallpaper white furniture with red handles, arty photos very cool!
Q9. As a child what was your greatest talent?
A9. I was very fast!!
Q10. What was the nicest thing your parents did for you?
A10. Encouraging me to do my best and to instill drive, Mum always said I could do anything if I worked at it.
