This looks really great. I don't think you always "have" to have journaling. Sometimes the lo's look better without it so I think you did great. How did you do the stitching? It looks very nice.

Thanks, Deb and everyone else.
yes, I did iron the paper. If you don't, (which I also tried) it is almost impossible to get it to lie flat and a 12x12 shrinks.

Hi Libby,
This is so soft and pretty looking. I agree with jane about the crinkled paper. Did you iron it after crumpling it or what? I love the pretty tag you have on here as well. Cross stitching came out perfect for it, don't you think?
Beautiful, Lib!
You asked about the journaling. . .my eyes are drawn toward the top right block, expecting to see something. . . maybe not complete journaling, but maybe just a sentiment or what it looks like you're whispering to Dad??? or maybe just 'with Dad, Easter 2003'.

Wonderful! What a great photo to go with this layout. And I have to say, you look very lovely in that picture as well. The stitching turned out very well. . .It makes me want to start experimenting with it!
this is a photo of my father and I in front of his house at Easter I really liked the way this looked without the journaling and although I have tried several place and ways, it just looks better without. I put a journaling square on the back. What do you think...is something missing without it? I had fun with this layout. Several of you inspired me to do some stitching and I used some more of the wetted and crinkled paper. I also used a mm tag and heart nailhead (BHiggins inspired) TFL Libby
