OMG! I love this. Love how you put the word fly over a swirl, love the handwriting, and the photo is just too cool. And the journaling is awesome. Straight to my faves!
I really enjoyed this LO the first time, but then I looked at this one and it just poped more.. Great changes.. I really love the arrow that you have pointing to the journaling... very nice:) TFS
Who woulda thought you could make a perfect thing better, but I love the way the title stands out!!....well I know who to ask for advice when a page needs fixing!! Great job Lori!!
I didnt think the 1st one needed improving, but after seeing this one the title does stand out more. Nice job! (and thank you, I am starting to feel better.)
WOW! Changing those letters really makes quite a difference with the layout! It just grabs your attention. I really like this a WHOLE LOT better! And the little arrow and little heart are perfect!!!
Perfect!! I loved it before and I love it now!! You did good because now you know the title instantly. I know it was a pretty little rubon but this makes the title really stand out! Beautiful layout and story!
I loved the first one but I think the re-do is that much stronger. The title and the embellies have added the punch. The journaling is truly wonderful and brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing a childhood memory that has such a strong message of faith and love.
oohh-i do love this one too!!! The title stands out a little, I think. BTW, if you have an adhesive grabber, you know those little rubber squares that remove "gummy junk" from stickers, you can use that to remove rubons. Just for future FYI. :)
Lori~ Awesome LO & wonderful journaling! I know this one made your Dad proud! I remember my Dad doing the same thing when my airplane got stuck on the roof. What great memories. TFS
Awwww...this is so sweet and special! Your journaling is so touching..love it!! Love the punch of color in the title--looks perfect with the papers! =)
You know, I knew the first time I did this lo, that the title work just wasn't working, but the rub-on just *fit* and once I rubbed it on there was no taking it off. (At least I don't know a way) I like this much better, in fact when I opened a drawer full of alphas, I found something perfect for covering the rub-on. I inked the outer edge of all the letters to kind of make it all more cohesive, and added stripes and tea-dye to the skinny letters to make them fit a little better, plus I found some cool embellies that just seemed to make it look better. PS.. He's sticking out his tongue, that's not his lower lip LOL! Journaling reads: I remember a day when I was not more than 8 or 9, We were playing frisbee together and it ended up on the roof. You put my feet into your hands and lifted me onto the roof. I scrambled over, grabbed the frisbee and ran back to the edge of the roof before I realized how high you had lifted me. You told me to jump and held out your arms to me. I was terrified and begged you to get a ladder and come up to carry me down. You told me again to jump. You told me you would catch me, told me to trust you. I was still afraid, but I threw myself off the roof and safely into your waiting arms. You have always done that for me. Lifted me up, and helped me to climb Encouraged me to overcome my fears and jump Taught me to fly..... And all the time, you have waited with open arms to catch me. Love you Daddy.
