Since we weren't able to take photos at the performance, I scanned pages from the program & our tickets for a memory of our trip to see The Lion King.
Journaling says, "We were so lucky to be able to take a 2nd trip to see The Lion King through the Broadway in Chicago series. We took Maggie to see it the 1st time it came through and when we heard it was coming again, we thought Steven would be thrilled to see it as well. Unfortunately, he didn’t fare quite as well as Maggie did and Steve had to take him for a walk during the 2nd act. But it was totally worth it just to see the look on his face as the animals came striding down the aisle during the first song. Amazingly, we were able to get seats in the orchestra and on the aisle, so the rhinos & zebras & elephant walked about a foot away from where he sat. He also thought Scar & the hyenas were so cool! For about a week afterwards, he would stalk around the house singing, “Be Prepared”. Maggie’s favorite was, of course, Nala, and our house was filled with the roars of mighty lions for weeks as they acted it all out."
