I think the simplicity of this just "works" because it is part of a larger project. I love that you are documenting all of your feelings and every moment of the pregnancy. It will be great for your child to look at later in life! What a great momento.
CS: Love all the journaling. It's great that you did that, what memories! I like the idea of rhinestones but I love bling. Maybe a strip of that same paper you used on the left side to "close" the right side?
CS: Love the simplicity of this page! Journaling is so very important, well done! Perhaps you could add more of those neat rhinestones to the last line of each paragraph. You know, space them out until they reach the end of the text. Lovely work! :)
This is me at 10 and 11 weeks pregnant. The journaling is very long.
Tuesday, January 10, 2006 Wow! 11 weeks! Not a lot has changed here. I am able to sleep more nights all the way through, maybe 2 times a week I sleep all the way through, other nights I am up at 2 or 3 in the morning. Grapes have been really convenient for me to eat when I am nauseous; I go through about a bag a week. By the time the baby is here I will probably never want to see another grape for the rest of my life! We have another ultrasound in late February. It seems like so long, but on a good note, Roberto and I will be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat at my next doctor appointment, which is in 2 weeks. So that will be really nice. I have to imagine it is hard for Roberto to really wrap is brain around the pregnancy. I get the privilege of nausea and bloating as a reminder or confirmation. The heartbeat and ultrasounds are really the only thing he gets. 2 more weeks and we are into our second trimester! Until next week :)
Monday, January 02, 2006 10 weeks! The feeling of being tired all the time is starting to lift. I still start to drag at about 8 pm, but during the day it is getting better. I am starting to notice that pictures of food or the sight of something will spark a desire to have that one item and only that one item. This weekend brought a need for skittles and nacho cheese dip (separate meals!). I try to eat an apple before I eat anything that may not be as good nutritionally. All in all I have actually been eating pretty well. My appetite is not all the great right now though. I get very very hungry but when I eat I can barely finish 5 bites of food and I feel full. I am sure that will go away soon, though I can't say I am looking for to that.
Wednesday, December 28, 2005 I had a doctor’s appointment today. Everything went very well. The doctor tried to let me hear the baby's heartbeat in his office, it was rather difficult to capture but I did get to hear it just a tiny bit. I will have another appt in about 3 weeks and Roberto and I will definitely be able to hear the heartbeat at that visit. We will also have an ultrasound in late February or early March. We will be able to determine the sex of the baby at that point if we chose, however I believe we may wait until a little later on. The doctor said that in a few weeks we should see an increase in appetite, so for those of you who know me to be quite the eater already…Prepare the trough!
