A layout about quilting (my other passion), using some of the decorative quilt stitches as a page element. Looks as good on paper as it does on fabric!
Journaling:
basic: make the top, baste the layers together, quilt through the layers.
¼ inch seams, 90/14 topstitch needle,
Janome Memory Craft 6600.
threads: cotton, rayon, poly, nylon, silk.
fabrics: cotton, wool, silk, flannel, batik.
3 layers: top, batting, backing.
techniques: piecework, appliqué, mixed.
color: exploding across the piece in infinite combinations.
results: elegant, beautiful, charming, whimsical, folk, functional.
sublime: give comfort, warmth, welcome, acceptance, love.
