I like this one better! The colours are gorgeous, and the green doesn't take away from the beautiful blue of the water. This is such a great pic...good job!!
This is such a fabulous pic!! I can't decide between the 2 lo's. This one is classic & fits in with your album, but the other one is really fun!! They are both fabulous...great work..tfs!
yes!!!!!!!!!! YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!! Oh Helen this is PERFECT! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I am sooo voting for this one!!!! I think it works MUCH better with the photo, it actually lets the color of the water 'pop' and makes the people in the photo stand out more. Yep, definitely this one!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! I haven't seen the other yet, but I'm thinking this is the ONE!!!! I love the sweet picture, hysterical journaling, and awesome rustic colors!!! This is perfect with the first layout- GREAT JOB!!!
This is the third LO for my African album. When I came to do this page I immediately went for the blue b/g with rugged corners. Upon completion I was not happy….something was not sitting right with me – too bold? This photo I treasure so much I just have to do it justice. I then reverted back to my original plan of using the same kit for all of my pages for the African album. Now, having both LOs, I am totally confused. What do you all think? I posted my first African LO again so you could see the colouring and style to help me make a choice. As to the photo itself: well I thought about journaling on these pages, however, these are LOs that will trigger memories and then the stories unfold. The story for this one is: I worked in Namibia with a girl from Colorado who was there through Peace Corps. We became firm friends in our adventures together. It would get so awfully hot over there and we were living right beside one of the world’s most magnificent rivers…..great….with the exception that it was full of crocodiles and bilharzias – which I later contracted! We were longing to go for a swim to cool down. The locals encouraged us to do so…..but I said how much I like my legs and did not want any crocodiles munching on them! They laughed and said in all seriousness, “The crocodiles won’t eat you – you’re white!” (the result of being a post-apartheid country). I looked amazed and said, “The crocodile doesn’t know you’re black and I’m white”. In the end the enticement of the refreshing water was too much and we were lucky to say we had many an enjoyable afternoon swimming in the river incident free and surrounded by loads of others I tried to ensure!
