You did a great job on this one. I'm having trouble with mine. I need to put some time and effort into it...but I keep postponing as I don't have a picture with several generations. Guess I'm just wishing I did. ;-)
Created this for the big picture class, year to remember, heidi swapp class. This is my version of the May art Challenge. The women in the pictures are: My Great Grandmother, "Grandma-ma"; My Mother's Mom, "Oma", My Father's Mom, "Granny" (also, my namesake); My Mother, my sister and my sisters first born (Caroline). Using the Heidi Swapp directions I took her butterfly mask and traced it with color pencils and punched small needle size holes to help accent it. The Journaling says: "These Women, she is beautiful, strong, true; Past, Present, Future; generations; her life reflects in mine; my legacy. Also, the challenge was to do the LO monochramatic and to use one piece from your stash that you have had for a long time (the paper has been in my stash forever!), and to add a file folder off the page (says, remember). I just used a file tag that was at the bottom of my desk drawer. I wasn't too thrilled with the idea when I started, didn't like it as I was going, but the more I added the more I like it and I am very excited with the finished page. I really enjoyed not using all the embellishments that take away from the picture and using coloring and stencil instead... I think it added to the heritage feel and "personal" touch to the page as well. TFL
