My DD at 5 weeks old. I just love how she is asleep on her arms and holding her hands together! I love using these two colours together and was pleased that the duvet she is on is blue and brown and matched so well with this paper. Backing pp by Clarie Fontaine. I cut the backing paper to make frames for the photos. I scalloped the edges and then stuck the pictures on from behind so the photos are slightly behind the backing pp. Using a flourish stamp, I stamped 4 flourishes in a cross shape using blue ink. I then doodled around the two horizontal flourishes. There are 8 stamped blue flowers on the scalloped edges of the picture frames and 3 on the tag. One large stamped flower in the centre of the page, with teardrop gems to decorate between the petals. There are 9 fabric flowers in blues and browns and 7 blue gem flowers in their centres. On the small stamped flowers there are blue teardrop gems. The title is cut from brown paper and then stuck over gold stamped squares-this was so that you could see them as they were a little lost on the busy backing paper...There is a handmade tag above the word slumber-I used the paper I cut from he backing pp when making the photo frames. A thin piece of gold ribbon for the tag and gold writing which reads: Sleep: a natural and periodic state of rest during which consciousness of the world is suspended; calm as a child in dreamless slumber. (this is a dictionary definition of sleep)
