Ok, so this isn't exactly a card, but it holds cards! ;)

I made 4 of these last night because I didn't know where else to put those gift cards that I bought people. I'm putting it up here for future reference for me or if anyone is looking for any last minute ideas!

First, I cut out two pieces of cardstock measuring 4 x 2.75 inches. (One was light blue, the other dark blue.) I then inked the light blue piece (with dark blue ink) and set the dark blue cardstock aside.

Next, I poked holes all around it using the Lil stitchers stencil thing. :)

I stamped "Merry HoHo" using clear embossing ink and then embossed it with silver embossing powder. Next, I highlighted the letters with a blue marker.

Then, I added the star eyelet and the blue eyelet to the top.

Next, I added the rickrack, fun fur type stuff, and blue beads. I secured them with scotch tape on the back (even though I stitched the rickrack a little on the sides so it would stay flat). I added brads to the top hole (from the little stitchers thingie) to the top of each side of the light blue cardstock...

Then I stitched the two sides together! I tucked the loose ends inside the holder so it wouldn't look too sloppy. This was the most time consuming part because I don't have a sewing machine! (Santa, are you listening? ;))

Finally, I added a small sizzix tag (same light blue cardstock with inking) for the person's name (that way they can just take off that tag and use the holder next year), slipped the card in, and then ran the fun fur through to hold the card in! It would probably make a cute ornament if you were organized enough to do this before Christmas Eve. ;)

Sorry for all the details, but I know next year I'll be like, "now, how the heck did I do that?" ;)

Merry Christmas everybody!
