I love this heritage page, especially the journaling. I just got a bunch of pictures from my MIL of her parents, grandparents and so on and I'm looking forward to making some pages with them.
Your LO is soooo beautiful... I have been arm-twisting relatives to let me scan their old family photos... and trying to work up the nerve to begin a Heritage album of my own family...pages like yours... keeps me inspired !!! TFS :)
I totally agree with distressed - this is such a beautiful and romantic LO! I just love the flourishes, the hearts and how you did the journaling tags. It all just flows so nicely!
I bought exactly those same papers for that very same reason, except I didn't have any vintage photo's to use for it LOL!! how precious to have that wonderful photo and your lovely page really did it justice!! I love all the inking and the hints of rose! You're pages are always a joy to view!
Fabulous Tracey!!! Love the heritage feel you have achieved with the coloring and inking! I do love old photos and still have many to scrap myself. You have done a great job with this one!!!
Oh my gosh, this is breathtaking!!!!! And this was done by hand? WOW!!!! LOVE the picture and the poem too- they are both BEAUTIFUL!!!! Straight to my faves!!!!
This is FABULOUS!!!!!!! love the herritage feeling of this. love the layering. the doodling, the tiny flowers, the hearts and I love that poem!!!! breath taking beautiful LO Tracey, really
Don't you just love it when you come across these precious old photos from grandparents and beyond. This is my grandma and grandad Maltby's wedding photo, I love the way the Scarletts letter papers from Basic Grey add a touch of timeless elegance and a romantic feel to the page. I used a doodling template (from Scrapbook answers) as inspiration for all the penwork, it was done freehand in a black journalling pen and accentuated with tiny punched flowers, hearts and gem stickers, the poem (found on the internet) reads :
Heart to heart we'll share tomorrow And all the plans we are dreaming of. Hand in hand we'll build a future, and always walk in love (Author unknown)
