I'm loving the colors and the photo placement. Obviously you are looking for something to add and I think for more masculine embellishments you just have to think a bit more outside the box. We found some pretty masculine papers and embellishments at Walmart that were perfect because they were also appealing from a females perspective... Try things like using metal embellishments... Maybe something like corrugate sheets. Those types of things...
Love the colors! The photo placement on the left pg is great! You can cut little strips of white cs and write the names of the people in the pics and put the strips on each pic. I like the idea of a circle made out of the blue pp in the middle -where all the pics meet. You can cut smaller circle from the brown and put it on top of the blue-write the date there. The right pg.:I can see the vertical pic moved a little bit to the bottom. Then you can journal or put a title in the top corner of the brown mat.You can make another circle from the blue and brown and put it here too where the pic and journaling block ( if you decide to do one) meet.I don't think you need a lot of embellies. Can't wait to see the end result!
I agree w/ Brenda, when I think males, I think hardware. I see a grouping of 3 brads in a small horizontal row the upper left, and again on the lower right. I like both K's suggestion about having journaling around the pics or in circles where the photos meet as well as Brenda's idea of where to put the journaling. Since this is the continuation of the other '06 LO, I don't think you really need a title block unless you want one, but I do think you should add the who's, what's & whatever various captions/memories you want. I love the pp, color combo & clean lines...love how you made this flow w/ the other '06 LO but yet it's still different!
I concur with the suggestions already offered. I definitely want some kind of journaling/title and where Brenda suggested is perfect. I agree hardware is cool. Even just copper or silver colored brads, maybe some hinges would work. This LO might be able to handle some arrows for journaling because I think they would play off the straight lines nicely. Can't wait to see it all together!
When it comes to males, I think hardware, sometimes. On the left page, three brads in a row in both the upper left and lower right. On the right page, slide down the pic with Mr. Yellow Shirt to make room for a journaling block anchored by either eyelets, or double matted with a stitched border (like a logo patch on a hat). This last suggestion would also work as a title block with DEMF. I like the colors and the white photo borders, btw.
The photo placement is good. I see some blue circles. One where the four photos meet. And I see journaling around the circle but inside of it. I see a second one on the second page where the three photos meet with the same kind of journaling inside in a circle. I see the photo on the rightmost side up flush with the other photo and in the space at the bottom a title of red chipboard or red cut letters. I think the red will be cool contrast. If you want to journal about this do so my hand writing around the whole block of photos - that would look so cools.
Heres more pictures of DEMF 2006. On girly layouts its so much easier. Just throw some flowers and ribbon and embellies done. On guys Im having a hard time..any suggestions?
