This is so awesome. Everytime I look back up at it I see some more details. I especially love the three strips of vertical patterned paper on the back of the chair.
Fun project I did of this ugly pink chair I got at a rummage sale! I LOVE how it turned out and have purchased 2 more wooden chairs to do!
HOW I DID THIS: I spray painted the chair with indoor/outdoor red paint then cut out all the scraps I had to use and adhered them with Mod Podge Decoupage Finish, you can get it almost anywhere, but any Decoupage Finish will do, just make sure it's a finish and doesn't need to be sealed with anything else.
Other than that, the only trick I found was to make sure you put the finish on the chair AND the back of the paper before putting it down and use something to squeegy the excess finish and air bubbles out before you put the finish on the top of the paper after you squiggey out the air bubbles and excess finish you cover the top right away don't wait - the decoupage finishes dry pretty quickly so it's pretty fast work so I practiced on a small piece of wood first so I felt comfortable covering the whole seat - it ended up being very easy just goes quickly so have all your scraps measured and cut out, inked, if you are going to ink yours, and have everything ready to go before you start.
