i ADORE the font you used for "ffection"...and the date stamp is gorgeous enlarged. of course your journaling never seizes to amaze me. great re-do, amanda! just beautiful (do you ever do anything that isn't?) :P
Wow A! This is *beautiful*! Straight to my favs. The paper is perfect. Just love how you did the date stamp! All the elements are "just right." Love it!
Oh this is stunning!!! and i love the design just perfect.. what a sweet photo.. we both have cheeky babies and Alyssa's are just so sweet in every picture.. what a great thought and feeling to capture..
Do you know what is so weird about this? My dd, Kierra had rota virus the exact same time!!!! She was so sick for a week and was borderline having to go to the hospital, instead they put an IV in her head, yes her head!! I guess babies have too much fat to find the veins in their arms. It was a horrible experience and holding this screaming child in my arms while they were doing this was heartbreaking!!! Once she was better Kaden (4 yr old) got it but not as bad. I was waiting and expecting Karter to get it but he never did. Anyways, I can so relate! Sorry to ramble on here. This lo is great, I think you actually improved on it if that is possible!!! That brown and creme are gorgeous colors together. Great job, A!!
Love the oversized date stamp, the color, flower and journaling! How sweet about Alyssa being affectionate! My little girl wasn't affectionate at first, either, and the first time she was, my heart just melted!
Oh WoW! That date stamp is HOTT girl! I love it being completely oversized! This one is even better the second time around. I love it! Really! You always have this way of capturing moments in the most elegant way. LOVE this girl! you rock!
Yet another redo of an old portrait page. this one was kinda tough because the portrait version was so simple (and one of my faves) but the simplicity just didn't work in landscape form. So I had to dress it up a bit. =) This was the day after she came home from the hospital when she had that Roto virus. Somehow, during her stay there, she learned the art of actually showing affection... putting her arms around my neck when I hugged her... leaning in for kisses... that kind of thing. She didn't do any of that prior to the hospital stay. So this was an event (and exact date) i definitely want to remember... hence the over-stated date stamp. =)
JOURNALING: I’ve always thought that nothing could feel more natural and more satisfying to a mother than the act of comforting her children when they are hurt or sad. But I was in no way prepared for the serenity that is washed over me when you show me affection. It’s absolutely blissful. (mom & alyssa the day after she came home from the hospital.)
