Oh, LOVE that other layout even more now...what a neat pair...initial trepidation and then Gage warming her up. BRILLIANT!!! About the primary colours, never fear! In 2 years it will be pink, pink and more pink (with touches of purple).
CUTE!! Love her little bikini!!! I am jealous that it is that warm there to swim already. We are about a few weeks away from that time of year and I can't wait to put Kierra's bikini on!!! Little girls, gotta love 'em!! Anyways, this lo is great with those colors and your journaling, much like your titles, is always so perfect!!! Her reaction is so typical but amusing. So awesome that you documented this!!
wow! i was just logged off for just a few days and im so behind looking at the galleries. good thing i scanned through or i'll miss this! how do you choose your color? this is just amazing! and you always have catchy titles on them!
I love that the pic is close up. I too am anti-primary colors. I know I say this everytime, and it must get old, but I have to tell you... I *love* the title! You are amazing! :)
Forget the colors on the pool... the ones in the LO are FUN and summery!! Love the constant line thing. Don't be surprised to see that show up elsewhere. :)
Oh her little swimsuit is the cutest!! Devyn was the same way, hated being in it but loved putting everything else under the sun in the water. She'll adjust :)
Oh my gosh...I laughed so hard! My little guy spent more time throwing things in his kiddy pool, too!! I'm sure as each day goes by she'll like it more, but what a funny story!! Yep I know what you mean, I prefer greens and browns in my back yard....so they blend in a little better with nature! This lo is gorgeous though!!
ahhh - little alyssa will surely warm up to the idea soon! how cute is she sitting there - dont you just love bright bold primary everything - i mean seriously (LOL) - great lo - love the line that carries over from the side! toooo darn cute, amanda!
you really rock! Your lo's are amazing. I love the fact that you cropped the picture so you don't see the awful primary colors (they ARE! you're so right!) Love the matching colors with her bathingsuit. You have such a beautiful girl! Your journaling is great as always, and your titles always are just perfect.
Oh I bet she will come around!! This is the reaction I expect from my ds. I love the journaling, and really admire how you journal the everyday things. Loving that paper with the pink.
This is so funny..hope Alyssa starts liking the water since a pool is being built with her in mind!!! haha...Love the colors and fonts!! Journaling ..cute story....
Maybe when she figures out she can jump & splash water all over, unlike when they're in the tub. Maybe then she'll enjoy it more. btw-I'm also in agreement with the colors (of kids' toys)
That's great! I love that green & pink, it jumped out from the gallery! And I like how that line travels under the pic & up the page. And I'm so with ya on the primary colors! Why?!? :)
Too funny! Why are they so hesitant? It's just like a bath tub only bigger and outside! lol. Hottttt design girl! I love that line and the way it angles around the photo and off the other side of the page. Great title work too..Love it. And, I love that close up!
oh i love everything about this! the pink and green are awesome together and i love that line that goes straight across the page, great title and journaling too! Love this!
unbelievable use of color, A! I love how you have that line going up and around the journaling. very cool. I can't get enough of those crop marks either! and it's great that you're scrapping her "dislikes" too. it'll be great to look back on. awesome job as usual.
very clever take on the title-ing (is that a word LOL) again Amanda! I love the use of colour here. Give Alyssa time...soon she will not want to get out!
ok... i know that the picture is a little close up, but the blue and yellow of that kiddy pool just had me all disgruntled... can't they just make kid's toys in ANYTHING other than primary colors!?! I was about 2 steps away from spray painting this thing!! grrr. anyway... i'm sure this is probably the universal reaction of most toddlers when 1st introduced to the concept of sitting and playing in cold water. But gage... was OVERLY excited from day one... so this threw me off a little. i just KNEW she would love it. oh well... surely once the heat of the summer kicks in and she wants to play outside in a heat index of the ever so frequent 112... maybe she won't be so reluctant. =)
JOURNALING: After your discovery of the water hose, I was just certain you would have so much fun with a little kiddy pool. So while you were napping, Gage and I got it all set up. We filled it up with water so the sun would have the water nice and warm by the time you woke up. Once you woke up, I put you in your cute little swimsuit, grabbed the camera and headed out back. You eagerly walked outside, stopped, and peeked around to the side of the yard at this big blue and yellow circle. You were intrigued. Gage took your hand and led the way. He stepped into the pool to show you how it was done. You lifted your foot over the side and slowly placed it in the water... then promptly screamed. I came over to comfort you and assured you it was okay. I finally managed to coax you into getting in and sitting down. You sat there just like this for less than 3 minutes, got out and haven’t gone back in since. You are more than happy to put everything you can get your hands on into the pool and love watching the splash, but overall, you were pretty much unimpressed. Hmmm... go figure. Maybe we need a bigger pool.
