Very sweet lo. Your journaling is wonderful. How great to leave a page like this for future generations to really have an understanging of what a character Grandpa was!
Christy, I am sorry I missed this one before. What a sweet layout, very heartfelt journaling that interestingly puts me back in '97 with him but also in the present with your reminisce. I think this is lovely!
I missed this the 1st time but though I really liked the original, this one is soo excellent! The addition of the red touches really brings it all together. Love the linear lines, bright color, placement & especially these precious photos!
Yay! This one definitely looks more pulled together, especially with your photo corners anad slashes--slashes were a good idea, btw. I like how changing that top journaling block made it fit in better with the rest, and how the red flower centers add a bit of pop; they also seem to make the title stand out more. Great changes, Christy, to an already great subject!
Christy, this is such a sweet LO. Made me a little sappy. I love the photos that you chose. I especially like the way the one shows your dad belting out his own birthday tune. Your mats are great with all of the inking. I am really loving it. The red photo corners and the red strips are pretty cool and the red brads in the center of the flowers are perfect and repeat the flower in the title without directly copying it. I love this, Christy. Great job!
Journaling reads; "Dads 57th Birthday March 1997. Grandpa loved being a grandpa to his girls! Amber 8 & Jamie 5. As we sang Happy Birthday to you, You belted out your own tone-deaf version to yourself...Your goofy sense of humor is just one of the things we miss about you." Did not scan well, everything is linear IRL. This is the 2nd version after some much needed adjustments.
