A layout about my son playing in the sprinklers last summer. Hidden journaling reads: We were victims of a heat wave. Hot with a capital “H”. To combat the higher temps, we set up a sprinkler to help the boys cool off. Being the teenagers that they are, Logan and Ian said they were too *old* to run through the sprinklers. And being that he wants to be just like his olderbrothers, Austin decided that at nine years old, running through the sprinklers was kid stuff, and not for big kids like him.

After a few minutes of watching the cool water sweep
back and forth across the lawn, Austin decided that maybe he *could* play in the sprinklers just one more time. You know, for old times sake.

Austin attacked the spray like a pro, treating us--and the neighbors--to his special tricks and sizzling dance moves. He played with reckless abandon, running back and forth through the water without a care in the world. It made my heart smile to watch him just let loose, run around and enjoy being a kid!.......Even if just for a little while longer!
