I did this layout to commemorate my friendship with my best friend turning 30...the friendship that is. It is an "over the top" layout..but I meant it to be. It kind of represents all that we are: wild and crazy, but subdued as moms... Obviously the 5x7 picture is missing on the 1st page...I have not got it in yet. :) The tons of pictures on the 2nd page (they are 2x2) are pictures of us growing up. The journaling reads: Kristen and I met when we were 18 months old. In a day and age where friendships seem to last less than a nanosecond due to such busy lives it is hard to believe that our friendship has reached the mature age of 30. It seems impossible that we have reached such an advanced age ourselves, and even more so the time we have known each other has gotten so long. More like sisters than friends the need to constantly talk or stay in touch has never really been a problem. Our friendship is solid. It has weathered adolescence, moves across state lines, years of lost contact, rebellion, car accidents, graduations, marriages, babies, divorces, tattoos, piercings, surgeries, and much much more. There is simply not a time, past, present or future, that I can imagine without having Kristen in my life. She is my polar opposite in many ways, and my twin in others, my steady hand when I get hot headed and my reason when I am unreasonable. She grounds me in a way that parents and other friends can not. She is the person who knows me better than anyone else and loves me anyway. She is not only my best friend, she is very simply...my forever friend.
