These pages are for imagine.lilacs Postal Free CJ. This challenge was to do something of Uncommon Beauty. I inked the edges of the papers, inked the chipboard, then painted the edges of the transparency and chipboard pieces.
Journaling reads:
"Rain quenches the earth, it washes the landscape, and it refreshes the air. It's fun to watch the raindrops make tiny splashes in puddles, to hear the rhythem of the drops beating on the roof. It's relaxing to hole up inside the house snuggled in a blanket, it's comforting to know everything's being replenished. I love to see the sky change when rain is coming, and the fresh smell of the air after a rainfall is invigorating. Without rain we wouldn't have cute umbrellas to twirl, rubber boots decorated like animals to stomp puddles in, or have the need to sing "Rain rain go away, come again some other day" as the children and I always do. Washington State gets up to 37.1" per year, so our region definitely gets a lot. Every day is different here, you never know what to expect from out of the sky, but you can always count on it being green. We joke about how many synonyms the weatherman uses for rain....drizzle, sprinkle, mist, shower, rainstorm, gully washer, precipitation, heavy rainfall, downpour....yet even funnier is that we know the differences. And the very best part of rainfall is rainbows, remembering God's promise to every one of us, and seeing with my own eyes how brilliant our God is. Sure there are times when I've had enough rain, but I know for sure it will subside, the sun will shine, and the cycle of all life goes on."

The photo is actually a rainbow here where I live, taken by my dh's aunt.
