wow the orner of the photo look great!!! rounding off two of the corners and leaving 2 squared really adds a nice touch. love the colors and the mattt turned out great and yes he is beautiful indeed!
Your choices were so right!! Love the understated background that just draws your eye to the wonderful photo....but is also so very pretty and elegant!
NO WAY! I'm working on a 'blue eyed' layout right now too! Great minds must think alike eh? I love this. The muted tones do definitely keep the focus on those gorgeous eyes~
Wow, you've just been a busy girl whipping out all these layouts this week! This is beautiful-- love the scallops and the stamps! His eyes are soo blue! Fantastic job!
This could be ,aside from my own beautiful kiddos, one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. Susan, this layout is in fact drop-dead gorgeous!!!!! Not too much, not too little...just perfect!!!
OMG! I really love this page. B&W paper always makes layouts look so classy and as you said you certainly didn't want to take away from those beautiful blue eyes. The journalling is really sweet too.
Terrific use of the black/white nuetral design elements. The photo of your DGS really does pop here. Love the ribbon slide with Boy on it....perfect touch to complete the thought of beautiful and blue eyed.
Susan, this as absolutely gorgeous!!! I can't believe those eyes!!! I want to know what you used to stamp on that black background... it is elegant, and oh so subtle! Those photo corners too... this is amazing!!
GOOD GRIEF, THIS IS STUNNING!!!!!!!! I love the black and white design with all of the scallops and stamps- very elegant, and it definitely keeps the focus on those stunning eyes!!!!! Simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!
Another great layout! Love the cream and black combo. The photo is priceless - those eyes and hair. My first son was blonde until about 8 and his eyes were/are a beautiful green! This is indeed a beautiful page.
This is beautiful! I like the way you did "Boy" on the tag with the ribbons! The dotted paper to match the ribbon, the scallops - is the white in the background stamped on? Love this picture of Adam - I think I have one very similar.
WOW!! This is just gorgeous, Susan!! Love the cream and black and the faint flourish stamps coming out from under the cream.....breathtaking!! He does have the most remarkable eyes and you've done a wonderful job making them stand out on this LO!!!
Gorgeous!! He really is beautiful and I think it's ok to call a boy that when he is!! This is just wonderful Susan but I must know how you got the flourishes on the black background. When I try stamps on black they just don't seem to show up! But you did it and what a wonderful layout this is!!!
You're killing me! Omigosh, this is so beautiful! I just got an e-mail from my LSS that they have in those acrylic stamps, and now to see this! I must go get me some and hope that I can do something even just half this gorgeous! Hopefully, I can use this layout as inspiration.
Susan, this is GORGEOUS! You achieved your goal of giving the photo the focus in such a beautiful and elegant way! Love the duplication of the polka dots in the matting and ribbon.
Classic, beautiful page!! I just love black and cream together, and the soft stamping behind the photo looks wonderful....and the photo...cute, cute, cute....saving to my favs!!
My DGS, Adam. I tried to do something a little low-keyed so that the picture would be the main focus...those beautiful blue eyes!! Journaling is tucked under scalloped frame and reads: Adam, I melt each time I look into those beautiful Blue eyes! You sometimes have such a solemn look about you – and when you do – those eyes just sparkle! Most people think that boys can only be “handsome”, but in my eyes – you’re just plain Beautiful! I love you, Adam! (photo 9/17/05) journaling 5/30/07
