Beautiful. Preemies are like tender little flowers. I should know, I work with them for a living! They are also extra special miracles for their strength to grow bigger and stronger.
This is gorgeous. Love the flower and the purples!
This is such a sweet story, with a happy ending! The pictures are precious and I absolutely love that paper and those big chipboard swirls!!! This is fantastic!
This layout is SO precious. wonderful colors that do not overwhelm the tiny little subject. the delicacy of the whole subject is apparent in your choice of flourishes and embellishments. And once again, your adeptness at journaling the heart of the story is just wonderful.
awwwwwwwwwww I took one look at this and knew it was a NICU baby. They all have that 'look' I'm so glad to hear your DGS is doing well now.. it's a long and rough road isn't it? My Ashli was born 8 weeks preemie and weighed 3lbs 1/2oz. It was horrifying. Anyhoo, love the stamping, the colors and the way you used that bloom on the chipboard. Beautiful!
WOW!!! The color really caught my eye (my favorite color to be exact) but the pictures and the journaling are what make this layout- they are PERFECT!!!! Another beauty here!!!
Oh gosh Susan, your journaling got me all choked up. What an absolutely wonderful way to document this important and somewhat scary event. The purple is just decadent and you are really becoming a chipboard swirl guru. Great stamping in corners and that purple ribbon around the journal picture is so soft and sweet. Going into my favorites.
Beautiful!! This has all the perfect touches.....the B&W pictures against the colorful B/G, the stamped on flourishes, the flowers, the chipboard swirl. Gosh, Susan.....I'd love to sit and watch you work for awhile! You are such an inspiration! Straight to my favorites!!
Beautiful Susan. Such a tiny little thing. So happy that it all turned out well. The photographs are very special - love that tiny little hand - and the paper you used is gorgeous. Just a great job all around!
Beautiful LO - How Great God is! Praise Him for taking what may seem hopeless at times and truly using it for His Glory!! I love little Jacob's name - my Jacob is 19 and going thru a difficul growing time right now - not physically like your little Jacob did but emotionally - Just like in your tiny Grandbaby I know God will recieve Glory someday in how He helps my Jacob to grow and be stregthened in His Grace.
This is just BEAUTIFUL! The colors are so soft and sweet to match these awesome pics! I've seen this chipboard used before, but never quite as beautiful as you have done here! Take a bow, girl...this is really SPECIAL!!!
My DGS, Jacob was born 8 weeks premature. We spent quite a bit of time at the NICU with him. Journaling is under bottom picture and reads: Jacob, you took us by surprise when you arrived two months early. Your mama was not doing well. Her blood pressure was very high and the doctors had to take her by ambulance from Enterprise, AL to Birmingham to the UAB neonatal unit. You were born about 5:23 pm on Friday, December 17, 2004. You were so tiny! You only weighed 4 lbs 3 ounces! You had to stay in NICU for about a month before the doctors allowed you to go home. You and your mama both really scared us!!! Looking at you now…no one would ever know that this beautiful and very lively 2 year old was born 8 weeks premature and was so tiny! Journaling 6/1/07
