A couple pages I just finished for another friend's circle journal (8x8) on "My Best Creations." Mine, of course, is my family. Talk about a totally different style from the last pages I did for a different circle journal! LOL I've never inked pages like I did in this one! And what fun it was!!! I love the detail it added to everything. - I inked tan grosgrain ribbon and stamped "My Best Creations" with different letter stamps on it. - On the left page, you could lift the photo to see the journaling. I made paper hinges from brown cardstock that runs across the top of the photo mat. Small circle of velcro holds the photo closed on top of the journaling. - Collaged background of black magic mesh, patterned and handmade papers. - On the right page, you could lift each tag to read adjectives that describe my DH and baby girls. The twine holds the tags closed and the tiny tags say, "Untie and lift." First letters of each name is reverse die cut of QuicKutz Star alphabet backed by SEI Stitches paper. For each photo on the right page, I turned it black & white in Photoshop Elements, then put the color back into their skin and shirt because the other colors in the pics would have clashed with the layout's color scheme (i.e. Christmas colors on the girls' clothing vs. the Autumn colors of the layout.)Thanks for peeking! JOURNALING: "Family- There is no creation I can think of greater than my family – my husband, Truls, and my twin girls, Anna Liv and Mia Karine. Husband- best friend, lover, confidante, champion, greatest fan, and partner for life. I thank god everyday for bringing him into my life. Children – Each day is a marvel with Anna Liv and Mia Karine. Everyday they are changing, exploring, learning, growing. They bring such joy to our lives."
