Journaling reads:I look forward to spring every year, not just because it brings warmer weather (which is a bonus), but because I get to plant,what has become known as, “the oasis.” I don’t have much of a green thumb, but I find it oddly satisfying to plant flowers and other greenery and watch them grow. This quickly becomes one of my favorite spots to relax after and on the weekends. Over the last couple years since I started planting “the oasis” we have accumulated a few other additions, last year it was the fountain my parents gave us (which adds such a calming aspect to the oasis). This year it was Schmee, my very first garden gnome. Since it’s just a balcony garden he’s not very big, but he watches over the flowers and makes us smile everytime we see him.
