son's graduation from Univ of Mich graduate school:

"You were my first born. You were my "practice child". You and I grew up together. I was only 20 years old when I had you. Now I look at you and you are no long my "little boy", buy you are my "young man". You have become an honrable, trustworthy, and respectable man. You have become a man that any mother would be proud to call her son. Today I watched you sit in a crowd of thousands of students, but I could still spot you in the crowd. Today I watched you cross the threshold to becoming a totally independent man.

I hope the things I have taught you have set a good base for you to be able to "CONQUER THE WORLD".
