This is a beautiful LO and so true! I am a SAHM to a 3 yr old, 2 yr old, and soon a newborn. Naptime is what I wait for everyday! I figure as SAHM's we never get 'days off' so nap time and bed time are the only breaks we get!
Great job as always !
And you are absolutly right !!! being a stay mom is one of the hardest jobs and also one of the most beautiful ones where you can collect a series of unforgetable memories about your family.
Great LO. In a lot ways things do get better as they get older, but there will always be those challenges that come with all ages and stages. You have it right, treasure the times you have today and make the most of the down time you do get. I am a SAHM (forced due to layoff) to a 17 year old and 20 year old. They no longer need me and most days don't want me for anything (yes I am thankful for that most of time) but I miss thoose times when they really wanted to be with me. I am thankful that I have my scrapbooks to look back at and remember when...
God bless!
Added to my Faves!! As a fellow SAHM I agree, I too treasure naptimes!! I also have days where when my DH gets home I tell him, your turn and I go to my special place!! Great LO! Beautifully done!!
hehe...I love that journaling! We have our days over here too. with 2 of my own and one more that I watch at nights...it all can get really hairy from time to time. This is an awesome idea to scrap! I love it
love the text work here & ohh so many details to just take in - i knew i loved it from the thumbnail & title alone -but looking at it closely - what a spectacular layout!
this is my new fav! top of the chart! ...and i hear ya!..i stay home w/two little boys and one big one (their dad!)! I just try to remind myself every day that i am gonna miss these times and i do my best to enjoy them. I am ashamed that i used to wonder what the heck stay home mom's did w/all their "free" time!! Oh to be that naive again!--love your work!
Awwww..this is such a great page. I just love the journaling. I've gotta give you props for being a stay at home Mom...I KNOW IT'S HARD WORK! Stay at home or not...being a Mom is a hard work, but we'd never trade it for anything right?!! Great page!
have I told you lately that you are an amazing artist?--well you are! :) this is so stunning and beautiful and I love everything you wrote- especiall the climbing part. i can so relate to that and everything else.
You must have read my mind...I was thinking those same things this afternoon when my daughter woke up from her nap after only 45 minutes! Then again this evening when it was 11pm before I FINALLY got her to bed. Beautiful lo, btw!
Being a SAHM is the ultimate sacrifice, and I really admire you! This layout is truly WONDERFUL on every level...Design, colors, title work, and honest journaling! Into my faves! You have really inspired me today!!!
love the quote about succeeding....lol. Wonderfu journaling...really insightful. and there's nothing wrong with wanting a little "me" time. mom's have a definite shortage of that.....for sure!! Your layout is wonderful....I love the vintage looking paper...which makes your journaling that much more poignant since it is a timeless tale.
Gorgeous...love it! I love the paper and colors...it gives it a nice antique look that I just love! I love the way you did "confessions" and your journaling is great! As a SAHM of TWO boys, I can totally relate to you!! It's a tough job, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Stunning page honey, the journalling is so heartfelt and true to most of us SAHM's, I love the papers you have used, the photo is gorgeous and all the embellies perfect TFS :)
This is wonderful! LOVE those letters and overlay!!! Cool background paper and love the flowers! Wonderful job here and sweet journaling! (love your journaling paper too!)
Wow, I think you've outdone yourself on this one...all your work is stunning but something about this lo just grabs you! Love your use of color and accents, especially the very subtle things like the rain dots! A true work of art!
Journaling: I always thought that being a stay at home Mom would be an easy job.... Boy! Was I wrong! Most days are great and my son and I have a great time together. But then there are days where I sware I'm going to lose my mind! Don't get me wrong, I love my son very much but sometimes I just need my space. I need some "me" time; you know when you don't have to worry about changing dirty diapers, wiping dirty hands and faces or worrying about what can he climb next. I treasure my "me" time and nap times too! I know if I worked outside the home that I would miss out on all those special times that a mommy and son can share being at home together. I guess for now, I will cherish the nap & bedtimes and hope that things get better as he grows up. I value my time as a mom.
