Wow! How did you get the dark, shadowy effect under the flowers around the frame? Digitally speaking, it would be easy to do, but traditional scrapping, wow!!!!
I love the blue on this. How did you get the photo behind that paper...is it a cut out or a slot or something? You are doing such a nice job on all these photos for this album...very nice.
OMG.....the effect you have created with the pp, especially around the cut-out area.......just AMAZING, STUNNING!! You are so creative!! I really love this one....straight into my favs!!
OMGosh, Sue! You have just out-done yourself here! You are the QUEEN of paper techniques!!! I love this photo, too...well, I love the whole album!!! STUNNING!!!
Oh my!! This is incredible!! I really thought at first glance that you had framed the photo in real lace and then inked it! Just a beautiful idea and an amazing result. And the photo is great. She looks so shy and, well, scared!!
I'm just sitting here with my mouth hanging open!!! WOWWWW!!!! What an awesome technique, I love it!!....you know I think its Creating Keepsakes that has an open call for new techniques and ideas...you should submit this (they pay you for it too!)...check out scrapsubmit.com, I think there are a number of mags asking for ideas for new techniques!...adding to my favs!!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! Love the way you traced the flowers with the white gel pen- it really makes them "pop"!!! And the picture is gorgeous!!!!! Truly, a piece art!!!
This is amazing....just beautiful!! The amount of work you have put into this album.....WOW!!! A true labor of love and soooo worth it!!! I love the framing around the photo here with the white and blue, and how it fades to the outside!! A beautiful choice of font too!!
This is another page for my parents wedding album. (see earliest layouts for story). ................. To do the paper like this I first took a white gel pen and traced all the flowers and swirls around the area that I cut out. (and added a few extra doodle swirls) I then used the cut out part for additional flowers that I traced in white, cut out, and stuck around the edges. Then I took a sanding block and sanded and sanded around the edges until most of the color had come off. I was trying to get the 'feel' of 'fading away' around the edges. Title is a computer font.
