I think this is gorgeous Monica. What a great way to use your husband's pics. My DH is also a wonderful photographer and I've been trying to think of ways to scrap his pics-- this is a great idea! :)
This was for Carrielyn's Challenge Week #3. We had to use Non Scrapping Supplies.
Todd has soo many beautiful pictures. I want to scrap them as well.. SO, I have decided for his mom, I am going to make a calendar for Xmas next year.
I used: Gray Textured Cardstock: Unknown Black Cardstock: Fiskars Font: SF Remember Brilliance Pigment Ink: Tiramisu
NONSCRAPPING SUPPLIES: ****Heads of ACTUAL Nails:(Used Bolt cutters to cut the nail off) ****Popsicle Stick
First I tore the Graycardstock.. THEN, I sanded all over. Then, I attached the black cardstock. I also inked the edges and torn edges with the ink. Then, after cutting the nailheads off the nails, I used the ink to make them look old/worn as well. Popsicle stick: I inked with the ink, then, took rubbing alcohol and rubbed it. After drying it, I then broke the popsicle ends off. Then I inked the popsicle stick again..
I cant decide, if I want to take the popsicle stick off or leave it on. What do you girls think? I had originally wanted to do something different with a bunch of the popsicle sticks. But, it didnt look right..
Then, I wanted Todd's signature in it as well. Since it is his picture. I had him sign his name. Then the date: 16 October 2004. Then, Stanton, United Kingdom where it was taken.
I am rather happy with it, other than deciding if I wanted to leave the popsicle stick or not. Thanks For Looking!
