I really like how you can lift the photo for more journalling, very cute idea! I see what you mean by the title. To me, it looks bluish. I'll go with the matting, but you hate to waste rub ons, if your like me. Beautiful work, I really like what you did with the "just do your best" - very creative!
I love this lo. You really are improving with each one! Love the colors and the PHOTOGRAPHY! That is such a cute pic!
What if you cut out a mat with two layers of different color paper and then added the rub-ons again to that mat so that the word "wishes" is backed--I would just make sure that the top layer is dark so that the white rub-on pops. Hate to use up more supplies, though.
Or you could make a double mat with a lighter color on top and make the word "wishes" in black since you have used that color throughout the rest of the page? I wonder if the stark white color of the word is what looks "off" to you? It's hard to tell since the camera can play tricks with color.
Good luck! I think it looks great. The design of it is just beautiful and I love that acrylic frame & hidden journaling.
I really like the patterned paper and the colors (greens, yellow, brown) nice. I really like your ribbon title, the acrylic frame excellent idea to wrap it with matching paper. Excellent!!!
Another day, another style! This layout has hidden journalling for my 2 children, (see other photo).
I created the acrylic frame, printed the list on linen textured paper for texture, made a holder for the sticker across the bottom etc.
Ribbon is not quite true to life is more orangey yellow, than yellow. And the photo is straight b/w doesn't have the greenish cast my camera gave it.
Not so sure about the rubon title, it needed something there, but 4 or 5 ideas later, I was still stumped. Does it look too wierd? I tried to alter it's colour subtly with chalk, but it wouldn't stick to the rubon.
